Oscar Nominee Anna Kendrick’s makeup looked radiant at the 2010 Oscars. Celebrity makeup artist Sara Glick teamed up with Tarte Cosmetics and Arcona Skincare to create her makeup look saying, “I wanted Anna to look ethereal and fresh, to let her natural beauty and radiant complexion shine through.”
Mission accomplished.
Anna Kendrick wore the following products to achieve her soft radiant glow:
- Arcona’s Magic White Ice – used to prep skin.
- Tarte’s Cheek Stain in Eco-Cheek – dabbed and blended on the apples of cheeks.
- Tarte’s LipSurgence Natural Lip Stain in Charmed – used as a base on lips.
- Tarte’s Double-ended Natural Lipgloss in Jake & Samantha – the Samantha side was used on top of Charmed for added shine.
- Arcona’s Lavender Hydrasol – finished the look with a light spritz for added hydration and to set in the look for a fresh, dewy complexion.

NEW Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Although suitable for all skin types (and ages), for someone with extremely sensitive skin, I found the Midnight Recovery Concentrate by Kiehl’s to be a miracle product. Considering my skin is prone to break outs, which can be caused by anything from change of season, water temperature to switching moisturizers, I was apprehensive but decided to give it a try anyway.
After cleansing, I applied 2 drops (2-3 drops is the recommended dosage) of the concentrate to my face and noticed it immediately absorbed effortlessly into skin (make sure to evenly distribute the formula, and pat into skin, do not rub). The next morning, my skin felt tighter, softer, and more hydrated; my pores appeared smaller and the best part – no breakouts! Clinique teamed up with Teen Vogue in search of three fresh faces that embodied the essence of Clinique and Teen Vogue. From September 22nd – November 6th Clinique traveled from NYC to LA, stopping in 10 cities, aboard the Clinique “Mobile Beauty Studio” vehicle. Candidates who could not make it to the studio were encouraged to apply online.
To enter, applicants submitted a headshot and filled out an entry form that asked them to described their fresh face look in three words. After an extensive national search, a panel of Clinique experts selected 25 finalists. Their headshots were then uploaded online for the public to vote for their three favorites.
Meet Monica, Misha, and Earth, the three winners (out of 7,000 entries) for Clinique and Teen Vogue’s Fresh Faces Tour.

I should start by saying that I’m on an oil kick, and my latest find is SPONGE’s Ladi Avokanto (Avocado Oil). Interview with Karen Cosgrove, Spa Director of the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

While vacationing in the Big Island of Hawaii, I spent 5 heavenly days at the Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai, soaking up the sun and enjoying the sensation of having sand underneath my feet. I’m generally a big explorer on my vacations but the Four Seasons offered so many great activities and services that I didn’t leave the property during my stay. The adventures would have to be saved for Maui; this portion of my trip was all about having no agenda and unwinding from all the running around I do in NY.
Well I picked the perfect place. The Four Seasons Resort offers guests a sports club which includes a strength gym, cardio gym, rock climbing wall, half basketball court, sand volleyball court, outdoor lap pool, work out classes (including fitness, yoga, and pilates), tennis courts, golf course, hikes, as well as a full service salon and spa.
Considering the array of options (especially on the spa menu), the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is the ultimate destination for wellness and relaxation.
