Kiehl’s Partners with Julianne Moore, Pharrell Williams, Jeff Koons & Malia Jones for Earth Day

Kiehl’s Since 1851 is at it again! Last year in honor of Earth Day the skincare brand teamed up with Adrian Grenier, Kelly Slater, Erykah Badu and Parsons The New School for Design to help raise $100,000 for Waterkeeper.

This year Kiehl’s is partnering with actress Julianne Moore, musician Pharrell Williams, artist Jeff Koons and pro-surfer Malia Jones.  Each collaborator designed a Limited Edition label for their Acai Damage-Protecting Toning Mist and for every one sold, Kiehl’s is donating a 100% of the net proceeds (amounting to $200,000) to the Rainforest Alliance.

   I also really like Jeff Koons’ design! Julianne Moore’s submission is interesting, though I almost forget it’s Kiehl’s because it’s the only where the font for the word ‘Kiehl’s’ has been changed!

   Though I like Pharrell Williams’ since it has that bitmap and the kind of electronic camo effect, in the end, Jeff Koons is the most striking.

   Julianne Moore gets my vote despite the treatment of the word Kiehl’s…in fact, I like the departure from the norm for this proejct. Jeff Koons’ is certainly an eye-catcher, also.

   As a huge fan of Jeff Koons, I am surprised to have my favorite bottle be the Malia Jones design. The bottle makes me wanna fly away to hang out in the rain forest for Earth Day- and well, every day.
